MMK & SDM Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Mysore was established in the year 1990, is now one of the most prestigious colleges in the field of women education and empowerment in the city of Mysore. The college offers courses in Pre-University, Degree courses in Science, Computer Science, Commerce & Management. In2018 it has added the Post-Graduation Degree in Commerce leading to M.Com. The college has fully computerized library, well equipped science laboratories, auditorium, spacious classrooms providing an inspiring ambiance for learning and developing the innate talents of students & staff alike. Home management course for first year degree students is a unique non-university certificate course, which facilitates the overall development of girls & helps them to tackle the challenging task of Home Making of the future. Ithas been striving to attain all round excellence and to impart quality education along with ethical and cultural awareness to women students of all strata of society as desired by Poojya Dr D Veerendra Heggadeji.

The college has an active placement cell, which organizes several placement programs for the students. Additional facilities like browsing centre, college canteen, college bus, vehicle parking, Telephone booths & photocopy centres are provided within the college campus. A vibrant NSS unit, YRC, and Rangers adding fame and name to the college.

The MMK & SDM Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is affiliated to the University of Mysore, Mysuru and UGC has accorded the college with 2(F) and 12(B) status.
