Affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangalore Re-accredidated at ‘A’ Grade with CGPA 3.61/4 by NAAC

SDM College Ujire was established in 1966. Over the years, it has created an indelible mark in academic excellence by imparting quality higher education in a rural location. The green campus, WiFi enabled UG and PG departments, central library with digital access, well equipped laboratories, indoor and outdoor stadiums, multi-facility centre, EDUSAT Interactive Terminal, indoor studio, student retiring rooms, free hostel such as Siddavana Gurukula, ladies hostels, well furnished classrooms and AV rooms have collectively added to the learning ambiance for the students, staff and researchers. The college was recognized by UGC as ‘College with Potential for Excellence (CPE)’ in 2004, F.J.E.I Best College Award in 2005, Grant of Autonomous status by Mangalore University in 2007 and re-accredited at ‘A’ Grade with CGPA 3.59 in 2010. Within the campus, five research centers are actively involved in research leading to M.Phil/Ph.D degrees. Four of these research centers are affiliated to Mangalore University and one is affiliated to Hampi Kannada University.
